Drew and Christina Mackell are a husband and wife photography duo based out of Lexington, KY. Drew studied photojournalism at Western KY University for a year before transferring to the University of Kentucky and getting his Bachelor’s in studio art with an emphasis in photography. Christina is an elementary school teacher by day, and has always been a naturally creative person with a great eye for detail and composition. She began photographing weddings and other sessions with Drew in 2010 and is now an accomplished photographer herself. Both have shown works at local Lexington galleries, as well as being featured in Kentucky Bride’s online magazine. Specializing in outdoor location shoots, the Mackells like to keep their sessions natural and make them a social experience. At-home studio sessions are also available upon request when mother nature isn’t willing to cooperate. The Mackells strive for an easy-going, fun, and creative experience with every session, in an attempt to not only create portraits and images for their clients, but pieces of art they can proudly display.
